​Writers Encouraging Writers

In 2002, Saturday Writers became a proud Chapter of the Missouri Writers' Guild. In 2015, we went on to become a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation in order to better serve our local writers. It is our belief that writing shouldn't be a solitary journey. Saturday Writers is here for you.

You're invited to celebrate the craft of writing with us. Join other local writers to network and learn about the creative process. You will enhance your knowledge of the publishing business, stimulate your imagination, improve your writing, and enjoy challenging but entertaining opportunities through our writing activities, contests, and workshops.

Whether you are just beginning to write, are in the middle of your greatest work, or are published (a little or a lot), we invite everyone with a love of writing to visit. You can become a member of our nonprofit group. As a member, you can:
  • network with our 100+ writer-members
  • attend regular monthly speaker meetings, either in person or virtually
  • have access to our meeting recordings, whether for later replay or if you miss it! 
  • participate in members-only events and discussion groups, including a private Facebook group, a Marketing Co-Op, and pre-meeting mini-workshops
  • display up to three titles in our members-only bookstore
  • have access to our members' experience page 
  • enjoy discounted fees to our Fall workshops
  • enjoy discounted fees to Missouri Writers' Guild events
  • enjoy discounted fees for our writing contests
  • enjoy free members-only writing contests 
Our monthly speaker meetings are held on the last Saturday of the month (January through September) in the St. Charles City-County Library Spencer Road Branch in Saint Peters, Missouri. Explore our website and feel free to contact us if you need further information or have questions.

Saturday Writers offers a guest temporary membership of $5.00 to attend one of our monthly speaker meetings.
*We host special youth events from time to time. Otherwise, our group is intended for writers 18 years or older.
