Donna Mork Reed
Donna Mork Reed grew up on a small farm in the heart of the Ozark Mountains. Often the only entertainment available in the middle of nowhere was her imagination. This early training produced the crazy, imaginative, and eclectic writer she is today. Her works range from picture books to Christian romance novels, from short stories to middle grade, from sci-fi to blog posts, and everything in between.
Donna authored an inspirational true story published in “Joys of Christmas 2015,” a Guidepost Publication, and is published on Tin Lunchbox Review and Ibis Head Review. She has several poems and short stories in the past three years of Saturday Writer’s anthologies, and will also be published in the upcoming anthology for 2018. She has also won awards for her photography at the 2015, 2016 and 2018 Douglas County Fair.
Donna lives in St. Charles with her husband, David Reed, and their two Newfoundland’s, Barnabas and Ace. She has a Masters in Library Science and a Bachelor of Science in biology. A public librarian for nearly 20 years, she is an avid reader and movie watcher.
Besides writing and working a full-time job, Donna is involved in her church, short-term missions, a local Flylady group, a paranormal investigative group, an astronomical group, and RRJ (Road Rider’s for Jesus)—a motorcycle ministry. She is currently taking her youngest Newfie, Barnabas, through therapy training classes to visit nursing homes and chemotherapy wards. In her spare time, Donna likes to sleep.
