Craft of Writing Book Club
Writing is a learned art.
In 2025, we kicked off a new members-only reading and discussion group focused on books about the craft and business of writing. Whether you’re a fan of thrilling fiction, thought-provoking non-fiction, or soul-stirring poetry, there’s something for everyone. The group will meet in person at Spencer Library each regular speaker month* from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., with each meeting bringing discussion on a different segment of a selected book. Some books make require only one month to read, work through, and review; others may span a two-month period. Below is a list of the books covered thus far or currently being read. Each review month, one of the group members will prepare a written book review for inclusion in the monthly Saturday Writers newsletter that is sent to our members. If you are interested in joining, regardless of where we or you may be in the reading and review process, please email Stephanie Mueller, and use Craft of Writing Group in the subject line. * September is our final speaker month each year. |
