In 2002 Saturday Writers became a proud Chapter of the Missouri Writers' Guild. In 2015, we went on to become a 501(c)3 Nonprofit Corporation in order to better serve our local writers. It is our belief that writing shouldn't be a solitary journey. SW is here for you.

You're invited to celebrate the craft of writing with us. Join other local writers to network and learn about the creative process. You will enhance your knowledge of the publishing business, stimulate your imagination, improve your writing and enjoy challenging but entertaining opportunities through our writing activities, contests and workshops.

No matter if you are just beginning to write, are in the middle of your greatest work or are published a little or a lot we urge everyone with a love of writing to visit. You can become an member of our nonprofit group. As a member, you will:

-Network with our 100+ writer-members
-Attend regular monthly meetings with guest speakers
-Access to meetings both in person and virtually and the recording if you miss it! 
-Participate in our members-only discussion groups & events, including a private Facebook group, a Marketing Co-Op, and pre-meeting mini-workshops
-A member bookstore where members can display up to three titles
-Have access to our members' experience page 
-Have access to our recorded monthly zoom meetings (current and past)
-Enjoy discounted fees to our fall workshops
-Enjoy discounted fees to Missouri Writers' Guild events
-Enjoy discounted fees for our writing contests
-Enjoy free members only writing contests 

Beginning July 2024, our regular meetings will be held on the last Saturday of most months in the St. Charles City-County Library Spencer Road Branch in Saint Peters, Missouri. Explore our site and feel free to contact us directly if you need further information or have questions.

Saturday Writers also has a $5.00 temporary membership available for select events.
*We host special youth events from time to time, otherwise our group is intended for writers 18 years or older.
