Two Categories: Picture Books & Older Readers
Love writing for children? Revved up to try your hand at writing for young readers? Here's your chance! This contest is for children’s writing in two categories:
Entries will be judged by a specialist in children’s literature.
- Picture Books: Stories geared toward the youngest children, suitable for a picture book, and
- Older Readers: Stories for older children that might be found in early readers, chapter books, middle grade stories, and young adult novels.

Picture Books: 500-word limit
Older Readers: 2025-word limit
Cost: $5 per entry for members
$10 per entry for non-members
*Critique will be available for an additional $10
